Nomadr is built for travelers, by travelers. We collect only what we need to make the app work, and we will never sell your data to third parties.
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and password (stored securely via Supabase Auth). You may optionally provide a display name.
Verification information. To verify your identity for community features, we may collect a phone number. This information is used solely for verification and is never displayed to other users or shared with third parties.
Profile photo. If you upload a profile photo, it is stored securely. You control whether it is visible publicly, only to users you've connected with, or hidden entirely — this setting is always under your control in your profile.
Location. With your permission, we use your device's GPS to find your nearest city and show your position on the tour map. We do not store your precise location on our servers. Your city-level presence (e.g., "exploring Amsterdam") is shared in real time with other app users only while the app is open, and only at the city level — never your exact coordinates.
Tour progress. We store which tours you've started, which landmarks you've completed, and your XP and badges — so your progress is saved across devices.
Community content. Posts and replies you submit to Nomad Square are public to other Nomadr users in the same city.
Usage data. We may collect anonymized usage analytics to improve the app (e.g., which screens are visited most). This data is not linked to your identity.
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which provides encrypted storage and row-level security. Passwords are never stored in plain text. We use industry-standard HTTPS encryption for all data in transit.
You can request to view, export, or delete your personal data at any time by contacting us at privacy@nomadr.app. Account deletion will remove your profile, progress, and any community posts you've made.
Nomadr is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Nomadr uses the following third-party services:
Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
